*RAF comprises of an optimum force of 17 brigade combat teams distributed across six military districts, allowing for attrition through combat casualties, disease, defections, and the usual.

  • Each of the military districts has a corps headquarters, except for the first military district which is the headquarters of the 1st Army/overall Field Army.
  • RAF maintains control of armour, artillery, armoured fighting vehicles, air defence systems, aviation platforms, and maritime assets. Attempts by autonomous republics to acquire these systems results in kinetic interventions.
  • RAF is a unitary armed force. Maritime and Aviation forces are corps attached to the main army, hence for instance "Army Maritime Corps".
  • For the purposes of wartime mobilisation, RAF is brought up to strength by the induction of militia units from the autonomous republics and Popular Mobilisation Brigades levied from the membership of the All-Union Revolutionary Front in each autonomous republic. It is for this reason that the boundaries of military districts, for the most part, reflect those of the autonomous republics.
