Dr. Alfons Enrico Dandela is a Nouvelle Alexandrie politician and accountant who currently serves as a Member of the Cortes Federales as a member of the Federal Consensus Party. He was first elected to public office in the New Alexandrian general election, 1708 as a Deputy to the Federal Assembly for Santander. Ideologically, he calls himself a moderate progressive, focusing his political work on Environmentalism, Civil Rights, and Social-Liberalism. In his public life, he is known as a vocal supporter of Green Politics, and also as one who uses facts and science to further his points.

Early Life

Alfons was born from a family of middle class businessmen in Potosí, Santander in 1664 AN. His parents owned a Dairy Factory. He went to a proper primary and secondary school, becoming interested in Science, Biology in particular. He went to Potosí University at age 18 to get a Degree in public administration. He got a Doctorate with his Thesis 'MTO's Involvement with Global Agricultural Policies'.

Private sector

Alfons worked at his parents factory for almost 8 years, working his way up to join the Alexandrian Dairy Union. Eventually, between 1698 and 1702, he became Director of the Alexandrian Dairy Union. He worked closely with the Cortes Federales as representative of a large economic organization in Nouvelle Alexandria.

Entry into Politics

Alfons was first introduced to Alexandrian politics during the Proclamation of Punta Santiago. He also saw Yuri Allcca Canchasto during his Whims and Customs speech. Alfons remained outside of politics for many years, until the formation of the Moderate Caucus in 1703 AN. He joined the party only in 1706 AN and ran for the last general elections. He got many voters, especially among the environmentalist community, for his support of Nature and animal rights.

Leader of the FCP

In 1710 AN, Alfons was elected as the next party leader of the FCP. He led the campaign in the New Alexandrian general election, 1713, which saw the FCP lose many of its seats. In light of this, Alfons launched the New Consensus party program in 1715 AN, with new ideas moving the FCP to social-liberalism and progressivism.

He resigned in 1726 AN, slating he wanted 'more time with family' and that 'it was time for a new generation'. He will remain in the Cortes until the next election.
