Nerve gas controversy

The company came under fire in 1723 AN, when several internal reports from the company were leaked to the press concerning the production of nerve agents. The report stated that ACPC subsidiary Hoya Pesticides was responsible for the production and stockpiling of Tabun gas used during the Insurgency in Ancora. It was long speculated that the gas was bought from the international market, but many were shocked to learn it was being made domestically.

The Tabun was said to have been produced by synthesizing byproducts of pesticide manufacturing. Company spokesmen have stated that the gas was synthesized as a way to consolidate storing of these byproducts, but estimates have shown that it would've been more expensive, on top of being more dangerous, to synthesize the gas than simply storing the byproducts separately. The District Court of Noursala ordered the destruction of all stockpiles of the Tabun agent with a deadline no later than 1727 AN. The company disputed this order, going by their previous statements of synthesizing the gas for storage. After a court battle, the company settled and agreed to neutralize all Tabun gas in their possession in return for the Aerlan government providing adequate storage for pesticide byproducts.

The company has also come under allegations of producing Soman gas and binary munitions for foreign buyers, although no mention of such production was mentioned in the press leak.
