The square

The Plein van Vereniging, or Plaza of Unity, is a large road junction in Sizhecheng. It's historical name is Plein der Graven (Square of the Counts), but it was renamed when Sizhecheng was reunited under the protection of the Heavenly Eagle Throne of the Great Jing Empire in 1642 AN after the Geming War. Old slums and small streets were torn down near the end of the 17th century to make room for the open square. An obelisk was erected to celebrate the re-establishment of order under Sheng Emperor.

The Rudolfsboulevard and Arkadius IV Avenue, two of the city's main roads, cross each other at this plaza.
