Turmil Başakheşir Futbol Kulübü is a Dauian professional football club based in Turmil. The club was founded by a group of Hazarese immigrants in 1983 and still accepts mostly Hazarians.
History
Founding
The club was founded by Arda Obsoutuyev and his group of worker friends who showed interest in founding a club. The club was give the professional license in 1985 and debuted in 1986 in the back then 1. League.
Pre-Yozbayev Era
The pre-Mehmet Yozbayev era was mostly described as boring to most fans as then the club was relegated into non league after 5 unsuccessful seasons in the professional leagues. The team would be dissolved till 2000 when Mehmet Yozbayev came in and bought the club off Obsoutuyev's grandchildren.
Mehmet Yozbayev Era
During Yozbayev's ownership, Turmil Basakhesir saw brighter days than before as with loads of investment, the club was purchasing talented and promising players from other Dauian clubs and Hazar clubs. The club would go on to win the 2. Daau League and get promoted to the Daau Top League for the first time in the club's history. In 2009 the club finally won its first Daau Top League title and declared the Yozbayev era over as he handed the club over to Ahmed Karakus.
Golden Years
Under Karakus, the club flourished more and even won the Dauian FA Cup during their 3rd season in the top flight. The club would then attract James Hernandez to join and lead the club to its second FA Cup title. In their 4th season, Turmil would go on to win the All Dauian Cup and Copa Del Daau plus the Dauian FA Cup and the Daau Top League in just one season, becoming the first team ever to complete the quadruple in Daau.
Downfall
After all the years in the Daau Top League, Turmil was finally relegated to the Daau Premier League in 2017 after 8 years due to mismanagement. The club would then be relegated to the Daau League in 2019 where it currently is.
Sertec Group
On August 2nd 2022, Sertec Group announced their takeover of Turmil Başakheşir was complete and they would bring the club back to the top flight.
