Elected President of Sankt Ludwigshafen

Siegfried von der Elfenbeinküste
Traditional Party '80

The 1683 elections in Sankt Ludwigshafen were the second elections ever held in the nation. Three parties participated in the elections, the Traditional Party of 1680 and the Slight Reform Party of 1681 and the Progressive Alliance. On behalf of the Traditional Party '80, incumbent president Siegfried von der Elfenbeinküste was candidate for the office of president, while the Slight Reform Party '81 had Claudia Weißdeich as candidate and the Progressive Alliance Rosa Walburg. The elections were a shock for the Traditional Party, which had to share the parliament for the first time with members of other parties. With almost thirty-nine out of fifty seats, it was still considered the winner of the elections and the position of incumbent president Siegfried von der Elfenbeinküste was not endangered. Claudia Weißdeich, who had split her Slight Reform Party from the Traditional Party received ten seats. Rosa Walburg from the Progressive Alliance received the only seat her party won in the elections.
