The 1673 Eastern Expansion was an effort by the Jingdaoese Empire to gain a foothold in Eastern Apollonia and create trade possibilities with Krasnocoria. Through a series of military campaigns and a mix of bribery, force and divide and conquer-strategies, the Jingdaoese succeeded in expanding eastwards. Cities, like Silafucheng, were established on strategic locations with the aim of establishing a trade road and subdue surrounding tribes.
