Committee on Constitutional Futures
The Committee on Constitutional Futures is a body established by the Mala First Nation House of Nobles on 10.VII.1753 AN to examine the constitutional status of the Mala'anje people following the collapse of Lac Glaceian governance during the NKR insurrection. The committee was announced by Ali'i nui Kahunamea XI immediately after the House of Nobles declared Monte Glacei in breach of the 1732 AN Memorandum of Understanding, which had established joint Lac Glaceian and Imperial Federation sovereignty over the Mala First Nation Territory.
The committee is chaired by the Speaker of the House of Nobles. Its mandate is to "examine all options available to the Mala'anje people for securing their rights, their safety, and their self-determination in a changing regional order," including examination of "alternative constitutional arrangements." The committee is expected to deliver a preliminary report by X.1753 AN.
