Federal Naval Academy

The Federal Naval Academy of Nouvelle Alexandrie, a training establishment in Punta Santiago, Alduria, providing courses for naval officers from the Federal Forces of Nouvelle Alexandrie and allied services across the Raspur Pact. It is the home of the Federal Navy's staff college, which provides advanced training for officers.

The professed remit of the institution is to operate as the university of the Federal Navy.

Entry

Prospective cadets entrants must meet a minimum academic requirement. They then proceed to the Admiralty Interview Board, where they are tested mentally and physically. Several mental aptitude tests are administered, along with a basic physical fitness test and a medical examination. Officer cadets, as they are known until passing out from the college, can join between the ages of 18 and 35. Most cadets join the academy after finishing their education at one of the Grand Institutes of the Federation, although some arrive after graduation from university. The commissioning course is 30 weeks, with Warfare Officers and specialists spending a further 19 weeks studying academics at the college. A large contingent of international students belonging to the navies of Raspur Pact member states are part of the student body.

Teaching Establishment

The establishment of its officers consists of a president, who was always a flag officer; a captain; a director of studies; and professors of mathematics, physical science, chemistry, applied mechanics, and fortification. The director of studies, a civilian, is in charge of an academic board, while the captain of the college was a naval officer who acted as chief of staff. A political officer has been attached to the training establishment since 1740 AN to ensure the education and indoctrination of naval officers proceeds in a manner that instills loyalty to the established constitutional order of the Federation and to the monarchy.

Naval Staff College

The Naval Staff College caters for flag officers, captains and commanders. Courses include training in tactical naval war games, strategic naval war games, studying and writing reports on various problems and lectures on various subjects.
