Immigrants could apply for immigrant loans, but could only use them for certain purchases.
Geography
Administrative divisions
Taruniz
Taruniz was a former sub-administrative unit of Iridia.
Sikaz
Sikaz was a former sub-administrative unit of Iridia.
Estovakia
The Grand Duchy of Estovakia was a duchy that included Iridia City, the capital of Iridia. Estovakia was also known as a center of thriving coal mining.
Dravia (Bosune)
Bosune later became, or merged with, the Grand Duchy of Dravia. The largest city here was Fredericksburg, situated on all the roads leading to the ports on the Bosune. The Gold Market and the Coal Market were important markets in Fredericksburg. The ports surrounding Fredericksburg were numerous and large, but the largest was located at the very tip of the Bosune Peninsula and handled goods from nearby foreign countries. Most of the other ports also dealt with the import of goods from the colonies, so this port was special due to its focus solely on foreign goods.
In 1519, Duke Silvanus banned alcohol, cigars, and all other recreational substances except caffeine, and established a special unit to detect and enforce the ban. Those caught served a minimum of two weeks in prison.
In 1514, taxation in Dravia was re-leveled. According to this new system, any sector providing services focused solely on music, food, and alcohol, with customers whose average annual income exceeded £1,000,000, would be taxed at 1.5 times the average service sector tax rate. Furthermore, if the sector was located within the city limits of Fredericksburg, the tax rate would be double the average service sector tax rate. In the Dock area in particular, all families with an annual income below £1,000 would receive a percentage of that income. Adjustments would also be made based on family size and specific needs. If your family consisted of more than six people, or if any member of your family had a chronic illness (mental or physical), you could apply for a bonus by contacting the nearest Ministry of Finance (MFB) office. If you were over 60 years old, or over 40 and living alone, you would be entitled to a slightly smaller bonus. However, you could only receive one of the two bonuses.
Vanadia (Lokun)
Lokun later evolved into the Grand Duchy of Vanadia. Lokun was the center of the main activities in Iridia and generally thrived on industry. A huge hotel called the Diplomats' Hotel was located in Lokun.
Every citizen in Lokun, except the Duke and Duchess, could submit proposals, and all citizens of Lokun could vote on them. The Duke and Duchess had one vote for every ten citizens. In the Assembly of Citizens, if a citizen, other than the Duke or Duchess of Lokun, wanted to be president, they needed 60% or more of the citizens, including the presidential candidate, to vote for them. Citizens could submit proposals to the duke and duchess for a maximum of two months. After two weeks, at any time, the duke or duchess could remove the president from office for any reason. All ballots remained open for seven days. If you were one of the first six true citizens to join Lokun, you could establish and govern your own town.
