==Outline of Balar==

The Isle of Balar is largely covered by a large forest and mountain range, and its inlands are sparsely populated. The large majority of citizens live in settlements on the Northern- and Southern coasts of the island. Largest cities are the capital of of Pelargard in the South and the port town of [[Forsted]] in the North. The Balari are known for their woodworking skills, and wood products are the greatest source of revenue for the islanders. Especially Pelargard has a large shipbuilding industry, incorporating the latest [[Calbion|Calbain]] technology. In addition, Balar is home to the Wood Snail, which is a source for a rich, and exquisite, red dye that is unique to the island and a status symbol throughout East Keltia. Because of the impenetrable nature of the Balar forest, the island is home to a specialised militia of Forest Guardians, who are tasked with keeping the main trails from North to South accessible for trade.
