Template documentation

The {{Infobox library}} template summarizes key facts about any library on Micras, be it national, academic, public, or special. Every parameter is optional; a blank parameter is simply not shown. To use it, copy the blank syntax below into the top of a library article and fill in what applies:

Parameters

Each parameter is optional and hidden when left blank.

• name – the library's common name (defaults to the page title). Native-language names go in native_name.
• native_name – the library's name in a local language, shown under the title in italics.
• logo – filename of the library's logo or crest (e.g. Example.png); logo_size overrides the default width.
• image – filename of a photograph of the library; caption is its caption, image_size its width.
• type – the kind of library (e.g. national, academic, public, research, special).
• scope – the subject scope of the collection (e.g. medicine, law, general).
• established – the founding date.
• ref_legal_mandate – the statute, decree, or charter that established the library.
• location – street address or campus; country the nation or region; coordinates a {{Coord}} value.
• branch_of – the parent body or system the library belongs to; num_branches its number of branches.
• items_collected – the material held (e.g. books, journals, manuscripts, maps).
• collection_size – the size of the collection.
• criteria – the criteria governing what is collected.
• legal_deposit – whether the library is a legal-deposit institution.
• req_to_access – requirements to access or borrow.
• annual_circulation – items circulated per year.
• pop_served – the population served.
• members – registered members or cardholders.
• director – the head of the library; num_employees its staff count.
• budget – the annual budget.
• affiliations – affiliated bodies or networks.
• website – the official website, ideally via {{URL}}.
• footnotes – any references or notes shown at the foot of the box.
