Standarization of subdivision of Hammish lands
An act providing for the STANDARDIZATION OF THE SUBDIVISION OF HAMMISH LAND, AND FOR THE AUTONOMY OF REGIONS 2010
GIVEN that Hamland is currently constituted as a democratic and consitutional Kingdom; and
GIVEN that many of Hamland's regions and nations are named “Republic” and “Kingdom”, which seem incompatible with the current arrangement; and
GIVEN that standardization of the naming of the regions will not diminish culture, but simply keep them in line with the political system of the motherland; and
GIVEN that standardization makes things easier all round;
THEREFORE be it enacted by Parliament as follows:
Short Title
1.That this act may be cited as the Standardization of the Subdivision of Hammish Land Act of 2010.
Standardization
2.That any political style (such as 'Republic of...'), before the names of the regions of be replaced with 'Region of...'.
3.That the 'Region of Hamland' be renamed to 'Region of Central Hamland'.
4.That the former Free Society of Passas and the Republic of Taeland be considered Autonomous Subjects of the Realm.
5.That His Hammish Majesty Lewis II and his lawful successors be affirmed as the Head of State of said Autonomous Subjects.
6.That His Hammish Majesty Lewis II and his lawful successors be affirmed as the lawful bearer of the crown of all those autonomous territories.
Autonomy
7. The Prime Minister may appoint a Governor-General for each of the regions, the Autonomous Territory of Taeland and the Autonomous Territory of Passas. The Prime Minister may appoint a Lord Protector for the Protectorate of Hammish Monovia. These officials shall hereinafter collectively be referred to as "Governors". Both decisions should be confirmed by the King.
8. Governors shall be responsible for developing the culture of their jurisdiction.
9. Territorial subdivisions shall have local government according to law.
