The Ancient Walled City of Sarhat (Toroshi: مدينة سرهت القديمة المسورة, commonised: madinat sarhat al-qadimat al-musawara) is the largest city and nominal capital city of Federated Tribes of Torosh. Sarhat is a metropolis of over two million inhabitants, and functions as an industrial and trading hub for the largest part of Gran Verionia. Its strategic location on the Great Sea makes it a bridge between the Roqq desert and the maritime states of the confederation.
Sarhat is not only known as a hub for tradesmen, merchants and industrialists but also for criminals, gamblers and other more adventurously minded individuals. It is therefore not recommended for foreign tourists to visit the city unaccompanied.
Government
The City of Sarhat is directly governed by the Metropolitan who rules from the Citadel. As the capital city of Torosh, the High Sha'ikh of the Federated Tribes, Juma Al-Dara, also has significant powers. Due to the sparse population of the Torishi realm, however, the city oftentimes functions as a city state.
