The Sapphire Jubilee of Nouvelle Alexandrie is the year-long celebration marking the 65th anniversary of the Federation of Nouvelle Alexandrie, commemorating the ratification of the Proclamation of Punta Santiago on 5.II.1685 AN, which established the federation. The jubilee celebrations, which began on 1.I.1750 AN and will conclude on 24.XV.1750 AN, encompass a series of national events, infrastructure projects, and cultural initiatives designed to celebrate the federation's history and promote national unity. The Sapphire Jubilee Commission, established by Royal Decree in late 1749 AN, coordinates the celebrations with a budget of NAX€2.5 billion allocated through special appropriations by the Federal Assembly as part of the 1748 and 1749 federal budgets.
The jubilee year features major commemorative events scheduled throughout 1750 AN, with principal celebrations planned for both Federation Day on 5.II.1750 AN, marking the actual 65th anniversary of ratification, and Constitution Day on 3.IV.1750 AN, which commemorates when the Proclamation of Punta Santiago went into effect. Preparations currently underway include the construction of "Federation Unity Parks" in each regional capital, the commissioning of cultural works including a Symphony of Federation, and the development of legacy infrastructure projects such as the planned Sapphire Jubilee Bridge-Tunnel, a 233.73-kilometer connection between Buenaventura in South Lyrica and Estefania in the Islas de la Libertad. The celebration theme, "Unity Through Diversity: 65 Years of Federation," reflects the successful integration of the formerly sovereign nations of Alduria and the Wechua Nation, along with eight other regions that now comprise the modern federation.
