Puerto Carrillo is the largest city on the southern shore of Lake Cherusken. It lies in Santander region, Nouvelle Alexandrie. The city is known for its harbour, and is the only city south lake Cherusken with a dedicated airport. The city is the fourth most populous city in Santander, after Potosi, Santiago, and Bassumorto. It has a population of 82,179 (1739 AN).

The city is a historical center of trade, lying on the outflow of Lake Cherusken to the Ocean. It has been one of the permanent seats of the Lake Cherusken Alliance. It has long been an important port for trade for the Cinque Ports.

The city is also the state capital of the State of Cherusken, informally known as the Lakes District, one of the constituent states of Santander. The State is divided into separate municipalities.
