The Princess Royal is a noble title granted to the eldest daughter of the Sovereign who is not Prince or Princess of Rimarima. The title was created by Royal Decree on 12.IV.1694 AN by King Manco Cápac I specifically for his eldest daughter, Princess Nayaraq, who became the first Princess Royal of Nouvelle Alexandrie. As stipulated in the Royal Decree, the title is held for life and cannot be relinquished or removed except through death or abdication. Upon the death of a Princess Royal, the title automatically passes to the eldest daughter of the reigning Sovereign who is not the heir apparent.

The current holder of the title is Princess Nayaraq, Duchess of Bassumorto, who was granted the title upon its creation in 1694 AN. The title forms part of the formal system of titles and styles used by the Royal Family of Nouvelle Alexandrie and ranks immediately after the heir apparent in the order of precedence for female members of the Royal Family. The creation of this title was seen as part of King Manco Cápac I's broader efforts to establish a formal system of royal titles and honors that would reflect both the Wechua heritage and Alexandrian traditions of the newly formed Federation.
