Oktokamensk
Oktokamensk, a city of Kalgachia situated in the Lieutenancy of Schlepogora, is notable chiefly for being the site of the Victualling Office of the KDF Logistics Command and a station stop on the Eastern Route of the Benacian Union Kalgachia Aligned Corridor Exchange. The city's surface population is primarily of Lach heritage whilst the more substantive and prosperous subterranean vaultquarters are strongholds of the ruling Kalgachi minority.
History
Notable as an area of mixed Kalgachi and Lach settlement. Oktokamensk was purported to have been one of the major objectives of Fall Endsieg, a hypothetical Shirerithian plan to conquer Kalgachia during the reign of the Steward Waldemar Zinkgraven.
Economy and infrastructure
Much of the lumber output from the Trugrain Sawmill, a large timber processing complex some fifty kilometres southwest of Oktokamensk, is received by the city. Accordingly the National Timber Complex maintains storage yards and a distribution centre adjacent to the railway station.
The city is another of the locations to have received one of the twenty-two Chicken King franchises licenced to operate in Kalgachia.
Sports
The city is home to the association football team Elgasu Oktokamensk, which maintains a not too friendly rivalry with Basmachi Schlepogora in the domestic Octavian League.
