The National Consultative Assembly of Talenore is the new legislature of Talenore, to be formed following the election in 1760. The establishment of the assembly is a part of the takeover by Governor General Leyla Avon-El Myksos.
The assembly consists of 229 members, 200 elected by the people and 29 appointed by the Governor General. Members are elected in a single constituency, and parties must receive at least five percent of the vote to gain seats. The assembly elects a Speaker and deputy speakers, as well as form the various committees for scrutinising and preparing legislation. Both elected and appointed members serve four year terms. The assembly cannot be dissolved during a term and can only theoretically remove the Governor General by appeal to the head of state under the effective government clause of the constitution. In turn, the Governor General is dependent on the assembly to pass legislation and the state budget.
