The Mayor of Parap (Wechua: Kamayoq Parap) is the chief executive officer of the city of Parap, the capital and largest city of the Wechua Nation and the second-largest city in Nouvelle Alexandrie. The mayor serves as the head of the municipal government and is responsible for the administration of a metropolitan area of over 8.3 million residents, making it one of the most significant mayoral positions in the federation.
The office was established during The Great Restoration in 1673 AN as part of the democratic reforms that granted Parap residents the right to elect both a head of government and representatives to the unicameral City Assembly. The mayor is elected by direct popular vote for a four-year term and works in conjunction with the City Assembly to govern the sprawling metropolis situated at the foot of Mount Lacara.
