Livian Pogroms
The Livian Pogroms were a series of violent actions carried out in Shireroth between the years 1659 and 1660 that entailed targeted extrajudicial killings against communities and persons judged to be in opposition to the Imperial Government during the early years of the reign of the Kaiser Ayreon IV.
The campaign of political violence derives its name from that of the Imperial Mother, Liv Dravot-Osman, who during that time exercised considerable authority in the Ministry of Military Affairs, the ESB Group and amongst various other bodies and organs of state.
The Imperial Government, then under the authority of the reformist-moderate Count Palatine of Kezan, endeavoured to limit the worst excesses of these decrees whilst simultaneously seeking to remove the targeted communities from the public sphere so as to reduce the potential for inter-communal violence.
