Ketshasha Conflict
Introduction
May 15th (Day) The Ketshasha Conflict is an ongoing internal conflict where a Ketshasha Freedom Movement erupted with over fifty armed insurgents took over the local governing house. No one was harmed, but there are several hostages, including the mayor. By the time the house was taken, the Afrikaana Polisie were contacted too late. The insurgents secured a ten block perimeter and demanded to talk with the leader of Afrikaana to say that Ketshasha be an independent city-state. The Afrikaana Polisie set up camp outside the town, and awaited further instructions.
May 15th (Night) On the night of May 15th, under cover of fog, the polisie launched a surprise attack on the insurgents, led by Lt. Donald McLeod. The Polisie gained three blocks but suffered two casualties due to a machine gun turret on 14th Street. Both sides suffered two losses, and the dead Polisie soldiers were mourned later on in the night.
May 18th The Polisie have surrounded the Mayor's house. Steady progress from the last three days and no deaths has meant that the rebels are surrounded. Still, thirty of them hide in the house with, sadly, the corpse of the mayor as he was killed last night. Joseph Tsibili has led two daring attacks against the house, but has not gained any ground.
