Paltun was born in Parap, Wechua Nation, to a modest family. He followed an education at the Royal University of Parap in Performing Arts. In 1686 AN, he was hired by the newly-founded National Broadcasting Corporation to become a television host. In that capacity, he spent almost 40 years as host, performing in a wide variety of programs ranging from variety shows, game shows, talent showcases, to late-night comedy. He was best known for his variety show Le Grande Salon. In his latter years, he became known for three wholly different shows: Les Mélodies Oubliées, about classical music; his travel program Les Voies du Monde; and the literary review Le Salon Littéraire
A Cárdenas Metro stop and the eponymous Plaza Paltun in the Culture District were renamed after him in 1686 AN.
