ICON
ICON, or the Immigration Control and Office of Naturalisation, is the immigration service of the Confoederatio Aemilia. Its motto is "Get out if you're not iconic". The Confoederatio Aemilia has an open door policy with regards to immigration, all people that want to live in the nation are welcome. However, the immigration service is tasked with interviewing all immigrants and performing background checks to prevent dangerous people from living freely in the confederation or criminals from escaping prosecution. Dangerous people are warned that if they choose to migrate into the confederation, that their freedom might be severely restricted, and criminals must agree to have the confederation prosecute them for their crimes, even if they were done abroad, before they are allowed to live freely in the Confoederatio Aemilia. People that are not considered a threat to society and that do not have a criminal background are assisted by ICON in their integration into Aemilian society, language lessons are provided, as well as job training and integration courses. The primary goal of ICON is to keep the Confoederatio Aemilia a safe space for all people that wish to live there.
