Heavenly Peace Preservation Law
The Heavenly Peace Preservation Law was a law which passed in 1665 AN, which adressed the existence of a national Jingdaoese spirit, or kokutai, of the Great Jing.
Heavenly Peace Preservation Law
1. Anyone who forms, or knowingly participates in, groups whose goal is to change our national essence ( kokutai ) shall be sentenced to prison or penal servitude of up to twenty daors.
2. Anyone who engages in discussions intended to carry out the aims of the preceding article shall be sentenced to prison or penal servitude of up to ten daors.
3. Anyone who instigates actions by others intended to carry out the aims of Article One, Clause One, shall be sentenced to prison or penal servitude of up to seven daors.
4. Anyone intending to carry out the aims of Article One, who instigates crimes resulting in riots or violence that cause damage to property, bodily injury, or destruction of life, shall be sentenced to prison or penal servitude of up to ten daors.
5.a. Anyone who, intending to carry out the aims of Article One, or of the crimes described in the three previous clauses, gives money, goods, or other financial benefits to others, or makes promises of such for that same purpose, shall be sentenced to prison or penal servitude of up to five daors.
5.b.Anyone who knowingly demands or receives such remuneration, or makes a commitment for such remuneration, shall be given the same punishment.
6. Anyone guilty of the offences in the five preceding articles who surrenders voluntarily to the authorities shall receive a lighter sentence or be exonerated.
7. This law shall apply to anyone who commits these crimes, even if that person lives outside the regions where the Jingdaoese law has jurisdiction.
8. This law is not intended, nor could be used in any way in court to hinder the Imperial Household to execute anyone at will. The divine retribution of punishment, handed out by the Heavenly Light, stands above all inferior mortal justice systems and petty laws or decrees of civilian or military administrations.
9. The Tegong shall be free to establish internment camps throughout the Xianxia Province to re-educate residents and citizens who have left the righteous Path.
