The Florynkwartier is a district in the City of Sizhecheng which houses the wealthier citizenry. Industrialists, bankers, lower nobility can be found here. It therefore became the unofficial financial and political centre of the city. To quote the Batavian industrialist Albrecht Meulemeester - who has a house in the district - during a speech in 1669 AN: "While the bureaucracy was the backbone of the Second Kingdom and the military the lifeblood of the Third Kingdom, it are the bankers who form the beating heart of the Fifth Kingdom. And, when I look around me, I see their faces: the true rulers of the modern State!".

An eye-catching building in the Florynkwartier is the Staetshuys, a magnificent palace in the style of the Second Kingdom (fondly remembered among Jingdaoese). It's atrium houses the largest marble staircase in the city. The Staetshuys houses the headquarters of the Batavian Broadcasting Company.
