Flag of Barbary

The Flag of Barbary is a design with two shades of dark greyish blue and a bright golden crescent moon. The current design was adopted in 1688 as it was felt that the Jingdaoese colours in the old flag did not match the ideals and direction of the Barbarian Republic. An interesting design feature is that the cloth of the flag becomes near invisible at night, while the golden yarn lights up with even the weakest light source, such as the moon at sea. The Barbarian Republican Guard uses a similar flag, with two crossed sabres in the place of the crescent moon. When no flag is flown, a pennant is often placed on the pole. This is usually a solid coloured pink (#ff80ff) pennant, as pink is often considered to be the national colour of Barbary.
