Calvin Mittelgroß is a theologian associated with the Ludwiggian Reformed Church in Sankt Ludwigshafen. He is the primary author of the Sankt Ludwigshafen Catechism and a contributor to the Ludwiggian Confession. Calvin Mittelgroß is also the author of popular books such as Saved or self-deceived? and Plain dress, the uniform of the Nazarene soldier in faith. In the first book he uses expository preaching to explain the Ludwiggian Reformed doctrine of salvation and how a believer can be certain of having attained it. In the second book he admonishes believers not to follow fast fashion, or wear ornate jewellery, but to wear plain and simple clothing and explains on the hand of Scripture why this is necessary for all Nazarene believers.
