Black Day
The Black Day was a terrorist attack carried out by the Istvanistani Patriotic Army against the federal government building in Riverden. 27 federal employees were killed in the attack and 56 injured.
Buildup
The attack
On 9.VIII.1676 at 4.35pm a van drove up to the gates to the underground garage under the federal government building in Riverden. It is currently not known how the driver of the van gained access, but it is believed by the federal authorities that he had forged documents regarding a delivery to the building. After having gained access to the garage, the driver stopped the van close to the elevators and underground entrance. At 4.43pm the explosives concealed inside the van detonated, presumably by the driver. The explosion destroyed much of the garage and caused the western section of the building to collapse. Most victims died or were injured in the collapse, not from the explosion itself. At 6.55pm, the Istvanistani Patriotic Army claimed responsibility for the attack.

A contributing factor to the 1676 Northern unrest in Sanama.
