The national anthem of Oportia is "Le bateau" (The ship). It was adopted in 1706 AN, upon the declaration of independence.

Sur les flots de l'océan, Un bateau vient à l'horizon, Portant les couleurs de la liberté, Et l'espoir de jours meilleurs. La foule sur la plage accueille, Le navire qui apporte la délivrance, Et chante en chœur la gloire, De la patrie trouvée. Oportie, Oportie chérie, Que ton nom soit notre cri, Que ton souffle nous anime, Et que ton flambeau nous guide. Que notre terre soit unie, Dans l'amour et la fraternité, Et que chaque jour qui se lève, Nous rappelle notre devoir.

On the waves of the ocean, A ship appears on the horizon, Carrying the colors of liberty, And the hope of better days. The crowd on the beach welcomes, The ship that brings deliverance, And sings in chorus the glory, Of the homeland gained. Oportia, beloved Oportia, May your name be our cry, May your breath animate us, And your torch guide us. May our land be united, In love and brotherhood, And may each day that dawns, Remind us of our duty.
