Amsel is a city in northern Uppmanland almost entirely surrounded by Västerammark, except for a short border with Amaland. With its population of just over 100,000 Amsel is the third largest settlement with city privileges. It serves as the seat of the Archbishop of the Church of Uppmanland. Due to its history and proximity to Amaland, the city has an Amalandic-speaking minority.
