The JAV 45 Ahab is an anti-ship missile designed by Javelin Industries. It is intended to be launched in the air by naval helicopters. The Ahab missile is designed to be effective against small and medium surface combattants. Its imaging infrared provides good performance in situations where littoral and coastal environments may be cluttered or hard for radar seeker to discern.
