Acquisition of Iotnargard Act
Passed by the Assembly with 6 votes in approval and 2 in opposition, on Sunday, 27 May 2007.
Act #59
To affirm the acquisition of mainland Iotnargard.
1. The main island of Iotnargard is hereby claimed as a protectorate of the Republic of Antica.
- (a) The so-called “Baby Island” is not claimed.
- (b) Any islands lying within the "Baby Island Straits" are not claimed.
- (c) The territory west of the Province of Aryez on Crescent Island is taken under the protection of the Republic of Antica.
2. An attempt by any nation or other entity to settle lands under the protection of the Republic of Antica without permission of the Assembly shall be considered an act of war, and will be met with military force.
3. The Assembly of the Republic of Antica, or any individual empowered by said body to execute specific policy, may grant land under the protection of the Republic of Antica to friendly states and organizations.
- (a) Unless otherwise specified, such land grants are to be considered sovereign and distinct from Nafticon's sphere of influence.
4. The Assembly, or an individual empowered by said body to execute specific policy, may grant permission for the Republic to fully annex lands under its protection.
- (a) The Office of Administration is charged with organizing and provincializing all annexed territories.
5. This act goes into effect immediately upon passage.
