The 2025 Yakka Premier League is the inaugural season of the Yakka Premier League, the top-flight Yakkan professional league for association football clubs. Chamguel won the first ever season, edging out Kanggol on the final matchday.
Format
- Each club must have 25 players in their squad including 3 goalkeepers.
- Clubs are required to register players whose birth years fall between 2007 and 2025.
- Every registered player is required to go through mandatory fitness checks in the form of a 2.4km run and a yo-yo test.
- The season will be played in a home-and-away format across one round.
- The Zengan Cup will not take place this season.
- The league will take place as per usual during the 2025 Bintang Muda tournament.
- Players will be assigned jersey numbers from 1-25.
- Players get suspended for one match after 2, and 5 yellow cards in the league, with a fine added after the 5th. A red card comes with a mandatory suspension of 1-4 matches, depending on the severity of the offence. Getting 2 red cards in a season results in a 1,000 YW fine.
- There will be no promotion or relegation for this season.
