Yashteritsa (Byalic: Ящерица) is the first domestically produced Byalic military vehicle, designed and produced the same year country declared independence in 1690 AN.

Characteristics

Yashteritsa is a multi-purpose armoured vehicle used for transportation of armed personnel, artillery guns and autocannons. The steel armour and ALON windows are capable of resisting several anti-materiel rifle caliber projectiles at the same impact spot, while solid tyres make the vehicle invulnerable to punctures. The 3.5 L turbodiesel l6 engine produced by Faca gives the power output of 135 horsepowers, resulting in vehicle's base model (Type 0) maximum speed of 74 km/h. Originally produced in Sanama, the engine parts are manufactured and assembled in Faca's plant in Mitrovsk since 1693 AN.

Variants

Type 0 (Mountless)

Type 0 is a mountless variant of Yashteritsa. It is a base model of all other variants. It features five seat cabin with tonneau in the back. Rarely seen in combat, they serve as a transportation vehicle of smaller infantry units or cargo of lower protection priority, as well as non-combat personnel and ammunition suppliers for the other combat-ready types.

Type 1 (APC)

Type 1 is an armoured personnel carrier consisting of two cabins, front and back. The front cabin seats five, while back cabin seats nine people.

Type 2 (Autocannon)

Type 2 is armed with a twin 30 mm autocannon mounted on the rear for which the vehicle typically carries 900 rounds of ammunition, each gun being gravity fed from distinctive 50 round magazines. The autocannon is effective against both air and land targets.

Type 3 (Howitzer)

Type 3 is a self-propelled howitzer firing 122 mm shells. It features a separate armoured cabin in the back from which the howitzer is operated.

Type 4 (MRL)

Type 4 is a surface-to-surface multiple rocket launcher, consisting of one platform with two rocket launchers.
