The Government of Xhusor has set a referendum on Xhurion Independence for 30th September 2017. This referendum was called for on 2nd September 2017 and was approved by the Florian Parliament a week before the proposed referendum. This referendum was called for on 2nd September 2017 and was approved by the Florian Parliament a week before the proposed referendum. Approval was delayed due to the Florian General Election, 2017. Florians have generally disapproved the referendum as they believe it will affect the country's territorial integrity and they are also scared that Florians currently living in Xhusor will be affected. On 24th September 2017, six days before the referendum, 1,000 Florian Armed troops were sent in an attempt to stop the referendum from happening.
