After having been betrothed for two months, Prince Ichirō of Shireroth and Lady Kaika bat Gyoku joined one another in marriage in a lavish ceremony in Daocheng on 17.I.1715.

Programme

1. Processional. The processional begins with bridesmaids and groomsmen walking down the aisle, typically paired up.

2. First bow towards the ho an den (which houses the painting of the Kaiser and HL).

3. Readings. A few people may be invited up to share or exchange readings at this point in the ceremony. ...

4. Exchange of Vows.

5. Second bow towards the ho an den.

6. Pronouncement of Marriage.

7. The couple drinks from a bowl of wine or beer, symbolizing the fertility of the Shirerithian lands.

8. Third bow towards the ho an den, followed by procrastination and eight cheers for the Kaiser, the Heavenly Light, the Imperial Republic and the new couple.

9. Wedding Banquet within the palace for guests. Festival entertainments and subsidised communal feasts for the multitudes beyond the walls, and a donative payment to the soldiers of the garrison to mark the occasion.
