Vokëerzen are a Senyan rock band from Dyas, formed in 2003. The band have lots of success in Senya, with the vast majority of songs being bilingual, using both Senyan and English, but have on occasion used other languages in songs (ie "Das Kino", which is sung entirely in German). The band consists of Dan Kozyet (Lead Vocals and Guitar), Ƨanfrō Këmor (Bass Guitar and backing vocals), Donyel Efakozlëm (Lead Guitar) and Erik Ped (Drums).

Early years (2003–05)

The band was formed in 2003 between school leavers Dan Kozyet and Donyel Efakozlëm. They formed a musical duo called the "D-Project", playing in local pubs and clubs. The band lacked the ability to write their own music, but eventually joined by Erik Ped, a neighbour of Efakozlëm. The band officially formed when Ped's cousin Ƨanfrō Këmor joined the band. The band played signed for the record label "Senyan Rock!" in June 2003, and played underground for quite a long time. The band released its first album in March 2004 called "15 Vaz te mort" (15 ways to die). The album wasn't successful. In January 2005, The band released the song "Sanya Nasëonal", a pro-Senyan MCS song, which automatically became a big hit in the country and brought about their commercial success.

Kamp Nera (2005–07)

The band released their second album, "Kamp Nera" in late 2005. Songs from this album included "Johnny Cleveland", which has since become their landmark song. Johnny Cleveland is about a man who always tries to do good things, even though he is constantly mistreated. This song resonated with many Senyans, and the song shot straight to number 1 in March 2006. Other songs included "I'm landing, so get out", "Rubber Machine Gun" and "Slowly".

Emo Experiment and the "death" of Samantha Steward (2007–11)

In 2007, the band began starting experimenting with emo music, with the album "Cutting up" being removed from Senyan music stores for it's graphic cover, depicting a young mutilated girl. Songs include "Nuclear Face", "Black Cap for your Wedding", "Being Him, Being Me" and "5 minutes past death". The band retained its popularity, although many people thought that their music was very disturbed and talked too much about topics such as rape, psychology, and self-harm, rather than their "freedom" music of the past. The band kept with the emo culture, releasing the album "Orka" in 2009, with songs such as "I left a Man, I return in a Coffin", "Drugged Up", "70,000" and "Disturb Me".
In July 2010, Vokëerzen were brought to court by Amanda Stewart, whose daughter Samantha committed suicide after becoming obsessed with the band's recent work. The band were found guilty of "Involuntary Manslaughter" on 18 November 2010, and all of the members of the band were sentanced to 21 years in prison, and the band forced to pay £20,000,000 in compensation. However, on 24 December 2010, Samantha Steward was discovered in her mother's basement in the family flat in Moroni. It was unveiled that she had been hid in the basement in an attempt to get a "rediculous" amount of money to follow Amanda's dream of moving to Zandarijn. The band were released on 3 March 2011, whilst Amanda was jailed for life in prison, on charges of "child abuse, neglect, fraud, lying to the court, false guilt and financial greed". The band announced that it had decided to leave the emo scene following the trial.

Present (2011–)

Since the trial, the band released the album "Keep Going", with positive songs such as "Happy Man", "It's all good" and "Sorl es Bwena".
