In 2017, The [[Florian Football Association]] announced proposals to restructure the Florian Football League system.  
On the 20th March 2018, the [[Florian Republic Rugby League]], announced a major restructuring of the [[Florian rugby league system]]. In this restructuring A singular second-tier competition would return and that the [[Fastbet Cup]] and [[Fastbet Premiership]] being scrapped. The new league is to be called Super League 2. The [[Florian RepublicRugby League|FRRL]] also announced that the [[Florian Super League]] and the new second-tier competition would have 20 teams with half of the current second tier teams being removed and placed in a brand new third-tier competition, which will be called the Championship 1. Promotion and relegation between Super League 1 and 2 are TBC. Teams from the current second tier competitions will be selected by the [[Florian RepublicRugby League|FRRL]] regardless of league position and it has been announced that Nohavlandic teams would not be eligible.  
==Florian League One==
In the proposals, the [[Florian Football Association]] announced plans for a third tier competition, [[Florian League One]]. The proposal was unanimously supported and the competition will debut in the 2018-19 Season. In the League, eight new teams will feature as well as four [[Florian Premier League]] academy sides.
==Expansion of the Premier League==
From the 2018-19 season, the Florian Premier League will be expanded to solve issues with fixtures encountered in the inaugural season. In the process, two teams from the Florian Championship will be automatically promoted. South Cosmos and Mossley Town will be invited to replace these teams the league, to make the number back to 12.
==Promotion and Relegation==
From 2018 onwards Promotion and Relegation will change. In a meeting in Early September, a new system of promotion and relegation was proposed, nicknamed  ''The Super 8's''. This promotion and relegation system would see teams play 33 regular season matches and then be split into groups of eight and play an additional 7 games either home or away. The bottom four teams would join the top four teams in the championship, and the bottom three and one-off match playoff loser would be relegated to the championship. In League One teams would be split into two groups of six not eight. The other proposal was to split the league into two groups of six. After the end of the regular season, teams would play five extra rounds either home or away. In the ''Relegation group'' the bottom two teams will be relegated to a lower division. On Thursday 28th September, it was voted that the Super 8 system would be implemented after a tight vote of 16 in favour and 14 against. The system can be shown below:
