  • Flesh out the Goëtic Trail, hardships,
    • former family leaders die, heroes arise to become new leaders
    • Vandrio Kalimatov arises as new leader of the Troglonauts, he is a cousin of the emperor's husband
      • Troglonaut survivors are no longer pirates, and their ritual nudism is severely limited in their new cold environment. they embrace their traditional form of transhumanism, that they believe allows them to become demons.
  • back-fill New Goëtia from 1702-1710 as a fully established, albeit precarious, nation. protected and hiding in the ring of mountains.
    • families are not separated into family turf/communes, and now resemble factions or cults, most Goetics live in Gathering Place except farmers
    • very few motorcycles left, lost during the escape from Cibola, and are used as status symbols.
    • Vandrio, popular and charismatic, becomes President of the Conference of Cycle Families in 1706
    • no highways or paved roads, no scavenging (except piracy by Troglonauts of Cibola), very little technology (all handheld, battery powered, charged by limited geothermal steam power generation, new devices brought in by returning Goetics)
    • the one remaining Nomadic cycle family, Eagles NF, serves as cop/taxi/emergency transport service. Gorillas NF still paramilitary, scouting the island outside the mountains, they see the Alrodrian Survey and Mining Company scouts land at Corinthe
  • The Caplona Expedition encounters the Goetics and small skirmishes break out
    • Both sides utilize guerilla fighting and dirty tactics
    • Goetics invoke their demonic contracts... Andrea Drakland, who has bound herself to the unanimous will of the Conference of Cycle Families is given the command to kill invaders, and brutally slaughters some Alrodrians as a warning sign; this agitates the Athlonics
  • Athlon asks Nathan III for permission to resume the Crusade of Saint Lazaros
    • Makhmud Kalimatov, emperor-consort, revealed to be from a demon worshipping family back in Modan. His immediate family truthfully converted to Capric-Bovinism, but extended family was expelled as demonists for continuing to worship Kizzy Drakland.
    • A cousin could be the new leader of a family. Makhmud could explain to Nathan the family stories of hardship and persecution he was told, secretly living as demon worshippers, and that demon worship was mostly about self-empowerment, and not subservice to a church. Demonic contracts are transactional and upfront, unlike blind faith.
    • Nathan, being reminded of his own struggles growing up with goat horns, finds newfound sympathy for the Goetics and refuses to allow Athlon to invade New Goetia, sparking a crisis on Athlon's supposed sovereignty. See Holy Bovic League
    • Tension between Lindstrom and Doza as Athlon begins to mobilize its own military, Nate3 threatens to use the NDF to block the OAG
    • Accusations of heresy against Nate3, public turns against the pentheros instead, who is old and out of touch.
    • Several Metrobosarchs "pray for" the pentheros, who backs down and resigns, triggering a pentheral election
    • new Pentheros enacts reforms, greatly expands the Council of Metrobosarchs, eparchies (dioceses) are now coterminous with any demesnes/regions that has a Bovic herd in it. Metrobosarchs still elect Pentheros
      • The metrobosarch (archbishop) of the capital/special region of a nation is given the additional title of Ethnikos Prostatis (protector of the nation) with special rights as the first among equals of the metrobosarchs in that nation, the right to speak on behalf of Bovic interests in that country, etc
  • Prima Alrodria established as Imperial territory, a buffer zone with New Goetia, and for resource extraction/scientific research. Only inhabited in warm months except skeleton crews garrisoned in Corinthe.
    • policy of non-interference enshrined in a treaty, Goetics are guaranteed to be left alone
    • Troglonaut piracy formally disavowed (but New Goetia heavily relies on the stolen goods they smuggle in), NDF is allowed to search and seize Troglonaut vessels for stolen goods
    • Goetics promise to stay in their territory
    • Natopia promises to allow Goetic refugees to arrive and depart only at the port of Harthago and travel on their own to Gathering Place.
    • Whatever the Goetics can buy and carry in Harthago are what they take in to New Goetia, very limited trade exists, but not impossible.
    • Harthago mostly serves as port, supply town, and base for the gem mining in the mountains.
    • Corinthe is an NDF garrison, ice-locked seaport in winter, airport, and spaceport.
    • Small population lives in environmental domes based on New Lindstrom tech.
