Touchball is a sport commonly played in the Florian Republic which is organised by the Federation of International Touchball. Touchball is not a contact sport but instead a limited-contact sport. The rules were established in late 2017.

Substitutions

  • When making a substitution, it must not disrupt the game and should be dealt with as quickly as possible.
  • Players coming onto the field must wait until the player they are substituting with has come off the field. Failing to do so may result in a penalty for an incorrect substitution.
  • Teams have an unlimited amount of making substitutions.

Composition of the teams and replacements

Mode of play

The ball can be passed or knocked sideways or backwards between teammates who attempt to evade opposition defenders and score tries. Kicks are allowed but only if the team are at their last opportunity.

Duration

The standard duration of a touchball match is two 20 minute halves with a 5-minute rest break. However, it can vary due to weather conditions.
