Tiegang Day is a national holiday in the International Mandate. It celebrates the renaming of the city into Tiegang by the Sheng Emperor in 1640 AN (22nd September), as part of the Sheng Restoration which saw the cities of the Jingdaoese Empire, being given a Jingdaoese language name. These days, the citizens of the Mandate celebrate the existence of their city state. Ceremonies are held each year to honour the presence of the troops which defend the Mandate.
