Thingy

The Thingy (Hurmu Norse: Tingeð, pronounced [tʰɪŋːɨ], lit. "The Thing") was the legislature of Hurmu from 1493 to 1505. It replaced the Parlerment which had been the legislature from 1476. The Parlerment was regarded as being too democratic, and the Thingy was established on more Crandish/Arminian feudal ways, though with a distinctive aura of Hurmu egalitarianism. Over time, the Thingy proved unworkable, and its sessions became rarer and rarer by 1498. It was formally abolished on the death of its only leader, Thoenen Helios, in 1505.
