With the sudden collapse of support from the Nationalists and Humanists, the Modani People's Party suddenly became vulnerable to internal political maneuvering. It was leaked that Teimuraz was planning on appointing all 33 Raspur Pact Parliamentary Assembly delegates himself, which drew criticism from his allies and opponents, with even Supreme Judge Clara Sundara suggesting such a move would result in her using her powers of judicial review. Chancellor Teimuraz no longer seemed invincible as party leader and his life-time appointments in the Fury soon splintered away, resulting in him losing The Fury's confidence triggering riots and protests for elections to be conducted under the old rules. Elections were held between XI.1683 and XII.1683 in all 400 of the 1679 constituencies. The Solidarity and Bagelcratican parties, campaigned together, with the singular goal of shifting Drak-Modan back to the center/center-left. The Bagelcratican party formally absorbed the struggling Laborer party, adopting several of its planks. Hardline humanists abandoned the MPU and voted for BfB. Solidarity and Bagelcratican agreed to form a liberal government under Kamil Gavrilov, Drak-Modan's first chancellor, although the rise in Bagelcratican's popularity, combined with waning anti-Natopian sentiments, suggest that the Bagelcraticans could form the plurality next cycle.

The new Fury will convene in 1684 and is expected to elect Gavrilov as chancellor during its first session.

Anticipating the impending abdication of Nathan II due to the Bovic schism agreements, Chancellor Teimuraz announced he would call for new Frenzy elections during the first month of 1679, hoping that the king's abdication would result in a higher voter turnout for his party. The new Frenzy would be in place before Nathan II's abdication at the end of 1679 and would be able to have stronger "public mandate" and control over the outgoing king, the new governor-general, and the new king John Waffel-Paine.

The Solidarity Party and BBP announced a stronger coalition and several new policies that would make the elections of 1679 more focused on Drak-Modani policies and less so on the divisive issue of Natopianization. Although the king himself was popular, the implication that Drak-Modan was a Natopian puppet state lingered over many Drak-Modani people, giving rise to the MPU and BfB parties. The Alliance for Solidarity and Support would now be able to advocate for a more equitable and pragmatic bilateral relationship with Natopia after the personal union ends.

Early polling shows voters are wary of the MPU's perceived lack of support for the Raspur Pact. A majority of older Drak-Modani who lived under Shireroth, report that Raspur Pact membership protections are important now that Modan is not an integral component of the Shirerithian empire and that Raspur Pact membership is "critical" or "very important" to Drak-Modan's long-term survival, stability, and prosperity.

Two months before the elections were scheduled to take place, the MPU softened its stance on the Raspur Pact, publicly announcing that it would not seek to remove Drak-Modan from the Pact and that a MPU-led government would uphold the Pact and support Raspur allies. Within several weeks of this announcement, polling indicated that support for the Solidarity Party was collapsing as a result single-issue pro-Raspur voters leaving the party in favor of the MPU. To help prevent a total loss of support, the Solidarity Party hardened its stance on getting tougher on Natopia, this alienated the party's base, which began to shift towards the Bagelcratican Party. The MPU subsequently went on to formalise an affiliation agreement with the global N&H movement on the basis of its revised stance concerning the Raspur Pact.

Most pollsters now placed the MPU at about 50% support, the Bagelcraticans surging towards 15% (up from 5%), and the Solidarity Party falling to 25% and the far-right Benacia for Benacians Party holding its solid 10% base.

The minor members of the national coalition exploited the factionalism within MILF for their own benefit, hoping to see a return of good fortune in the 1708 Fury Elections after MILF fell apart.

A change in public opinion promoted a realignment of voter's interests in 1676, fueled mainly by the Bovinist Schism of 1676 which saw anti-Natopian sentiments on the rise. The Benacian Bagelcratican Party lost many of its voters and the Modani People's Union achieved a major victory in the promised abdication of Nathan II in 1679 but not enough to secure the chancellorship. Several rounds of coalition negotiations eventually brought the Modani People's Union together with Benacia for Benacias to form the Drak-Modan First Movement. Many of the more mainstream members of the BfB Party were able to be convinced to join the coalition without having to adopt the most xenophobic planks of the BfB Party platform.  The ruling faction promised a continued push towards building bilateral alliances with Benacian neighbors, to begin to equalize the special relationship with Natopia, and continue Drak-Modan's commitments to the Raspur Pact.

The opposition parties remain aligned in the Alliance for Solidarity and Support.

The 1671 government of Drak-Modan was formed by a coalition of the Chancellor's Solidarity Party and the Benacian Bagelcratican Party known as the Alliance for Solidarity and Support. The ruling faction promised a balance between building alliances and solidarity with other Vulture States to secure the long-term future prosperity of the continent while also recognizing the essential need for support from Natopia and other Raspur Pact allies.

The opposition parties did not have a formal voting bloc agreement, but frequently voted together. The Modani People's Union, a populist party that rejects all Natopian influence in Drak-Modan and frequently calls for the abdication of Nathan II and increased powers for the governor-general. Benacia for Benacians is a far-right xenophobic political party that calls for the deportation of all people not born on Benacia and rejects the foreign entanglements and burdens that the Raspur Pact places on regular Modani people.
Tinker Sprocket was Speaker of the Fury from 1672 until 23.VI.1691, when he resigned in protest against the legislative and parliamentarian abuses he felt that the Committee for United Modani Solidarity was perpetrating against himself and The Fury. On 24.VI.1691 Lia Gelashvili, a Committee loyalist and regional director, was appointed as the Speaker of the Fury.

The minor members of the national coalition exploited the factionalism within MILF for their own benefit, hoping to see a return of good fortune in the 1708 Fury Elections after MILF fell apart.

History of the Fury

Drak-Modani Fury

During the period of Draconian Supremacy, the Fury was composed of 400 representatives, with four token representatives elected from the Straight Protection Zones. It selected two co-chancellors to serve as the country's head of government and as the Fury's presiding officer, though this role was often delegated to a Speaker of the Fury.

During the 1699 Drak-Modani attempted coup d'état, a large portion of the Fury's membership was killed and their bodies hurriedly disposed of, once it became clear that they would not support the coup. The revelation of their fate helped galvanize opposition to the coup regime, leading to a series of bloody engagements in the streets of Drakorda.

The final Fury under Draconian Supremacy was governed by a coalition of the Solidarity Party and the Modani People's Union, called Committee for United Modani Solidarity.
