The Taesong national football team was the football team which most recently represented the Riponian autonomous territory of Taesong, and previously represented the independent nation of the same name. It was a founding member of both the FMF and EMUFA, and was run by the TFA.

History

Taesong was one of the founding members of the FMF when the organisation was created in October 2006 prior to the first FMF World Cup, which the nation hosted. The national team competed in the tournament, topping their group after winning all of their matches. After beating Alexandria 1–0 in the quarter-finals, the team was beaten by eventual champions Beaugium on penalties in the semi-finals. However, a 1–0 win over Nova England meant the team finished in third place. After the tournament, Taesong was annexed by Riponia and became an autonomous territory, retaining its own national team in the process.

In their first ever qualifying campaign the following year, the team topped their four-team group with 14 points, without losing a match, to qualify. The team were less successful in the finals, however, finishing third in their group on goal difference behind co-hosts Tokidoki and eventual winners Craitland. Later in the year, the team competed in the inaugural EMU Championships, where they finished second in their seven-team group to advance, being knocked-out by Riponia on penalties in the quarter-finals. Taesong left Micras in mid-2008 as part of Riponia's death.
