Sevetia (Sevetian: sevetlen Sevetlen), officially the State of Sevetia (sevetlen korak Sevetlen Korak), is a country located in Eastern Micras. It comprises most of South Island (known as Hinisne in Sevetian language), as well as other nearby islands.

History

According to the legend, Sevetians lived in an unknown location in southern Micras until they decided to migrate for unclear reasons. They settled Hinisne and Miranisne, which became the Sevetians' new fatherland.

The State of Sevetia was established in late 2018 by the Sevetian People's Assembly. After that, the People's Assembly assumed as a provisional government. The first constitution was later written and proclaimed.

The Provisional Government ended following the formation of the First Government of Sevetia, which took office on 6 April 2019.

Geography

Sevetia is bordered by the Central Strait to the north, the Great Western Sea to the east, and the Eastern Ocean to the west.

The Tarket mountain range features the country's central section. The eastern and western sections of the country are characterised by flat terrain. To the south the terrain is plain, as well. Most of the territory is covered in tropical rainforest.

Transportation

The road network is still in development. The best roads run parallel to the eastern and western coasts, where the terrain is flat. The No. 1 Motorway connects the cities of Misak in the north-east and Senkanat in the south. Most of the roads that connect the west and the east cross the Tarket mountain range; they usually are narrow and are in poor condition due to constant rains.

Railroad services are limited to central Sevetia, particularly around the Aher and Hiraaron valleys, where population density is elevated in comparison with other regions of the country.

As a country with a long coastline, there are many ports through which one can reach Sevetian territory. The largest coastal cities in Sevetia are Nankad, Senkanat, Mirankonar, Irsiur, Misak, Serbana and Kirjelar.

Cultural Tips

  • The official language is Sevetian, and only a small number of people speaks English. It is recommended to learn basic expressions and phrases and understand the Sevetian script before visiting Sevetia. In the main cities, it is possible to hire the services of a "translating partner" to help you communicate with the locals.
  • Ojiism practitioners can be found from time to time at the side of the roads, especially outside urban areas. It is customary to give them food though they don't ask for anything. Practitioners who ask for money are scammers rather than true practitioners.
  • Many Sevetians are proud of their meritocratic government system. Defending democratic systems in public may earn you scorn or even rage from the locals. It is recommended to be careful when expressing your political views.
