Sarmat Island is an island in the Eastern Ocean. It belongs to the Gerenian autonomous republic of Gerenian South Keltia. It has an area of 70,856 km2, and a population of about 80,000. Along smaller islands, Sarmat forms the Sarmat District of Gerenian South Keltia.

Sarmat Island is located south of continental Keltia, from which it is separated by Sarmat Strait. It is also surrounded by Sirna Strait to the west, Danarki Strait to the east, and the Eastern Ocean to the south. Sarmat Island lies between Derages Island and Kalamansi Island.

The Sarmat Highlands are a mountain range that run from north-west to south-east, reaching 2,910 m at Kaira Peak. The northern sector of the island is dominated by vast lowlands. Rainforests cover the entire island, except a narrow strip in the south, occupied by fertile savanna grasslands. There are a number of rivers that flow from the highlands, the longest of them being the Torevas River.

The island's population is concentrated in a few cities: Darekau, which is the capital of Gerenian South Keltia, Ĵasan, Taraŷ, and Váytbau.
