The Sanama Council of State Office is the Council of State office supporting the President of the Council of State in their duties. The office is headed by the Qukalsim, assisted by the Principal Secretary of State, the most senior civil servant in the National Civil Service. The functions of the office are handled by several secretaries, handling various issues for the Qukalsim, such as coordination, budget, international relations, military affairs, legal review, and several other issues. The office in its current form was created in 1707 when Malliki Orea was appointed Qukalsim, but ultimately traces its origin to the Office of the Chancellor prior to Nur Pinito Caprici's term of office. The office also contains the Principal General Advocate, the chief counsel of the Council of State, and the Principal Inspector General, the chief Inspector General of the national government.
