Opening of the Garden and its exhibition.

Salome Garden, located in the city district of Lichkeep in Shirekeep, was established at the southbank of the Elwynn River for the occasion of the Golden Jubilee of Kaiseress Salome in 1721 AN. It was opened in 1721 in the presence of the Kaiseress and several important dignitaries and housed a number of exhibitions which showcased the technological and economical advances of the Imperial Republic in its recent years.

Due to its size, the park quickly became one of the most important landmarks visited by both the nobility and middle classes who flee the Inner City on a hot summer day. Travel to the park from the City is easy and quick, thanks to the several boats that moor at Wythe quay, named after former Steward Chrysostom Wythe. The Garden was designed to house an amphitheater, where musicians performed traditional music accompanied by dancers who whirled and spun beneath lantern lights strung high overhead. Its several exhibits - which remained open, even after the Golden Jubilee - showcase traditional life in the Dominions and more or less transformed the park in an open air museum.
