SEB-Series (Senyan Electric Build Series) is a Senyan based motorsport series. The series sees competing teams build their own vehicles using pre-supplied electric engines in a specified set of rules, and then race them over a variety of different tracks and events. The series is the most popular motorsport series in Senya, as it comprises several different types of motorsport events together.

Rules

Each team has to build their own vehicle, which have to meet strict criteria. SEB-Series provides each team with an electric motor, a gearbox and tires, with the teams expected to create the rest of the car. Although there are over 300 pages on the technical regulations on the car build, most of these ensure that the cars look and act similarly.

All teams must contain 3 drivers, a driver, a co-driver and a reserve/test driver. All three drivers must be at least 18 years of age and hold a valid driving license, which allows them to drive with manual transmission. A pit crew of no more than 10 staff are allowed to work on the car at each race.

Tracks

The series races over a series of track weeks. During a track week, 6 days are utilised (with the exception of Thursday, which serves as a midweek break), with each day focusing on a different race type. Each week is hosted by a different region, which will use six different tracks (and/or configurations) to race on.

Stages

The six stages are:

  • Hillclimb (Monday): The drivers compete against the clock to complete an uphill course, which in this championship must be tarmacked. Each car gets three attempts to complete the course, with the fastest time taken. The minimum length of a course in 3.5 km with the maxmimum length 5.5 km.
  • Rallycross (Tuesday): Held on a closed mixed-surface racing circuit, the drivers compete 5 laps in a course of 1.5–2.5 km. One joker lap, which must cut at least 10% of the lap distance, must be in place, which each driver must complete no more than once during the five laps. In this event, heats are held, with each driver competing in 4 heats over the course of the day in order to come up against different opponents. After the first heat, the drivers are grouped together with those on similar times. The cumulative time for each driver over the 4 heats is taken as their final tally.
  • Rally (Wednesday): Held on a mixed-surface rural course, drivers complete a course of between 9–12.5 km. Each driver receives just one attempt at the course, each taking it in turns.
  • Time trial (Friday): Held on a paved road course of between 10–15 km, drivers get one attempt to set a time, each again taking it in turns.
  • Street race (Saturday): Held on a closed street circuit of between 3.5–7 km, only the top 30 drivers from the first four events take part. The amount of laps is determined by the lap which takes the race over the 300 km limit.
  • Circuit race (Sunday): Held on a closed purpose built circuit of between 3.5–7 km, only the top 30 drivers from the first four events take part. The amount of laps is determined by the lap which takes the race over the 300 km limit.
